OFFERED FOR SALE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ALMOST A DECADE OF TRADING.

SOME WORK STILL NEEDS HUMAN HANDS

In a world being rewritten by generative AI, automation and software, it is worth asking one simple question about any business you are about to buy.

Can the work be done by a machine in a data centre? Here it cannot.

This business puts a qualified human on a physical job, on site, in a purpose-built facility, and delivers a result the customer can physically see.

No algorithm performs that work. No model replaces it.

Technology is arriving in this sector, but it is arriving as better equipment rather than as a competitor, and in the seller's opinion such developments will assist the operation rather than threaten it.

A great many industries are now asking whether they will still exist in their present form. This one is asking only which tools it will use to assist further in doing the hands-on work. Very few sectors can say that!

KEY FEATURES

First time on the market. The founding owners opened the doors almost a decade ago and are now wanting to step back to retire. The business has never previously been offered for sale.

⊗ An essential service business which supports steady demand through changing economic conditions and is a characteristic of the industry

⊗ Security of tenure without buying property. The sellers own the premises and have indicated a long term lease is available to a suitable incoming buyer, on terms to be agreed, so tenure does not depend on an unrelated landlord.

⊗ An experienced team already in place. Approximately six operational staff work alongside the working owner, with a four week handover offered.

⊗ Low advertising spend to date. Revenue has historically been generated mainly through referral and repeat custom, with minimal spend on paid...

The Opportunity

This is not a start-up, and it is not a concept. It is an established service business that has traded from the same purpose-built premises in the South West of Western Australia for almost a decade, and it is offered for sale for the first time as the founding owners move into retirement. The business turns over $2.59 million per annum and returned adjusted proprietor’s earnings (PEBITDA) of $730,830 in the 2026 financial year and is presented on the basis of one working owner supported by an established team.

Two years. At $1,460,000 including stock, that is roughly how long the 2026 earnings would take to return the purchase price. Very little at this end of the market does that.

It is offered as a going concern with plant, equipment, systems, supplier arrangements and trained staff in place, so a capable buyer is expected to be able to continue trading from settlement rather than start from scratch.

Why Are Buyers Looking At This One?

Impressive results and more…

  1. The Seller owns the premises, so tenure is not a loose end

In most business sales, the lease is the first thing that unsettles a buyer and the first thing a financier asks about.

Here the sellers own the premises themselves and have indicated that a long term lease will be offered to a suitable incoming buyer, on terms to be agreed. That means an incoming owner is expected to be able to secure the site for the long term without the capital required to buy commercial property, and without negotiating against an unrelated landlord who has no interest in the sale succeeding.

The premises were purpose-built for this operation rather than adapted from something else, so the layout, access and workflow already suit the way the business runs.

  1. Location that works, in a precinct that is gaining popularity

The business operates from an established commercial precinct with good road access and visibility, positioned to service a defined regional catchment in the South West. For a service business, position is not decoration. It shortens travel time, keeps the operation in front of its market and supports the referral flow the business relies on.

  1. A trained team already doing the work

A small experienced team of approximately six performs the hands-on operational work. The sellers are willing to remain for a handover period of four weeks to assist an incoming owner into the administrative and oversight role.

  1. Secured supply, not spot buying

The business holds membership of a secured national network together with established written supplier arrangements. For a buyer, this is about predictability. It is intended to support input pricing, consistent product access and consistent standards. The arrangements, including their terms and transferability, are set out in the first stage report.

  1. Work arrives through established channels- low advertising spend

A significant proportion of revenue has historically come from established account and referral relationships rather than from owner-driven selling. That is expected to reduce transition risk for an incoming owner, because the work is not attached to the departing owner’s personal salesmanship.

Minimal advertising spend. Advertising expenditure has been low across recent trading years, with $1,011 recorded in the 2026 financial year against revenue of circa $2.59 million.

  1. Plant with real working life left

The business is equipped with substantial, well-maintained plant and equipment of a type with a long serviceable life.

A Region With Real Momentum

More people in a region means more demand for the everyday services that the region relies on. That is the simple logic behind the South West, and the numbers behind it are public.

  • The South West regional population reached 201,659 in 2024 and has grown steadily, at a faster rate than most of regional Western Australia (source: Regional Development Australia South West, South West Regional Futures, section 3.2.4, drawing on ABS Estimated Resident Population data).
  • Regional planning identifies the need to plan for a South West population of 300,000 by 2050 (source: as above).
  • Greater Bunbury is projected to reach 172,700 people by 2056 (source: Regional Australia Institute, cited in South West Regional Futures, section 3.2.4).
  • Western Australia recorded the fastest population growth of any Australian state in 2024 to 2025, at approximately 2.2 percent, and six of the ten fastest growing local government areas nationally were located in Western Australia (source: .id informed decisions analysis of ABS Regional Population, 2024 to 2025).

Sustained population growth of this kind is generally associated with increased demand for established local service businesses.

Why Serious Buyers Should Not Wait

Businesses of this size in the South West rarely come to market with all of these elements together at once: earnings at this level, a purpose-built site with a long term lease available from an owner who is motivated for the sale to succeed, an experienced team already in place, secured supply arrangements and plant with working life remaining.

Most listings offer two or three of those. It is uncommon to see them together, and this one has never been offered before.
